1950's Screen

An outstanding, circa1950s Spanish six fold painted screen in oak and brass, with ink, representing with great detail, a map of Madrid in the 16th century. Dated Madrid 1560, and highlighted in colours. On this spectacular screen you can see the principal places of Madrid, like the Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol (The centre of Spain), and the river Manzanares, together with Madrid's Coat of Arms. It has to be remarked the quality of this work. This outstanding and timeless screen, was created for one of the houses that the well known Spanish architect, Luis Gutierrez Soto designed in Paseo de La Castellana (Madrid).
